The
Last 35 Years
I went through college in three years, got a masters degree in one year, and a law degree in the next three. I’ve actively practiced law ever since, working for various trial and appellate judges, three different district attorneys, as a solo practitioner, and currently for the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office, where I serve as Chief of the Appellate Division. As a hobby, I teach as an adjunct professor at Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth. Along the way, I acquired (1) a spouse, to whom I am still (remarkably!) married, (2) a house in Lake Highlands, which is not unlike the Kessler Park I grew up in, and (3) two sons who were exceptionally cute when they were little but who have both been trying to give me a heart attack for the past decade; so far, I’ve managed to out-fox them.
